What is sewer spray lining or SIPP

Sewer spray lining is a kind of trenchless pipe lining that involves spraying a polymer resin on the pipe. This is different from structural pipe lining, which involves a liner made of material such as felt, fiberglass, or something else.

pipe Spray Lining System is transforming the spray lining industry.

SprayDoctor advantage

In the past, epoxy resins were primarily used for pipe coating, but when it hardened, it could be quite brittle and break apart when the pipe moved. Now, DoctorSpray hybride polymer resin offers the advantages of hybride spray lining, plus unmatched flexibility.

This system can be used to restore sewer pipes ranging from 1.5" to 12" in diameter. When used together, structural pipe lining and spray lining can be used to fix virtually any drainage pipe without excavation.

How Does DoctorSpray work with sewerspraycoating?

Step 1: Preparing the Area

The first part of the spray lining procedure requires that the area is defended by the customer by covering it with plastic and tidying the work space. Afterwards, the plumbing system is carefully analyzed using a CCTV sewer camera to find out any issues including splits, gaps and blockages.

Step 2: Sanitation

After the inspection, the plumbing system must be prepared with a thorough cleaning just like any other process that uses epoxy or polymer resins. We most often use a variety of strategies to get rid of scale, accumulation, and bring the pipe back to its original diameter as much as possible. These cleaning processes consist of high-pressure water jetting or a dry mechanic approach.

Step 3: Applying the Coating

When the pipe is prepped and dried to the desired level, the spraying process begins. The operator with his helper insert the nozzle into the pipe from the determined entry point and push it to the end of the section that needs to be fixed. The machine is powered on and gradually dragged back to the entry point while the pipe is being coated. This procedure can be repeated to add more layers if required. After the coating is finished, the area is tidied up, and the resin is given time to cure for approximately four hours, after which the repair is done and the connected drainage fixtures can be used again.

Will Sewer Spray Lining/Coating Work For Me?

Trenchless spray lining and pipe coating provides an effective solution for the repair of smaller branch lines, such as those that are used in the kitchen. CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) can be hard to use structurally for two inch pipes, yet the DoctorSpray lining system can easily handle the job, allowing homeowners to avoid the need for floor demolition.

Furthermore, spray lining is great for prevention, helping to protect the pipes from corrosion and rust, and prolonging their lifespan. If the pipes meet these criteria then spray lining may be the best option for you: no large cracks or holes; no missing sections; not collapsed; you are looking to prevent deterioration before replacement is necessary; and the pipe is between 1,5” and 12” in diameter.
